The Act helps facilitate the process for qualified veteran and military spouses who are actively licensed in other states to obtain certain licenses in Maryland. The Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing will expedite the license application for all qualified veteran and military spouses.
Boots to Business program supports veterans and business through training and pre-employment services, such as Resume Writing and Interview Preparation.

VA for Vets helps Veterans and transitioning Military Service members find federal or non-profit careers. The VA for Vets Career Center tools provide opportunities to translate military skills, build resumes and search and apply for open positions.
The United States Department of Veterans Affairs has launched a new, online resource for transitioning Service Members, Veterans and their dependents. The Veterans Employment Center is the first interagency tool that brings together public and private job opportunities with resume building and other career tools currently offered on a variety of websites together in one place. Through the Veterans Employment Center, Veterans, transitioning Service Members and military spouses are connected to high quality career choices by matching their identified skills with available public and private job opportunities. Employers can connect with high quality transitioning Service Members and Veteran applicants, set Veterans hiring goals and track their progress.
