It is with deep sadness and regret that the Department of Maryland must report the transfer of Past Department Commander Raymond Callegary to Post Everlasting this afternoon. Ray had suffered a cerebral hemorrhage and was in hospice care surrounded by his family in his final days. Please keep Ray’s widow Lee and the entire Callegary family in your thoughts and prayers at this time of mourning.
The family is planning the viewing to occur on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at 1-9pm (times may change as final planning is made, and I will forward any changes to the viewing hours. We have confirmed with the family and the Legion will conduct a Post Everlasting ceremony at 7pm on April 15, 2014. The location of the viewing is Ruck’s Funeral Home, York Rd, Towson MD. We will assemble for the ceremony not later than 6:45pm.
The burial is being planned for Wednesday and I will forward those arrangements once received.
